Professional Certificates

Focused certificates for working professionals, issued by Berkshire University. Each one builds a defined set of skills in a single field. They are separate from our degrees.

What they are

A certificate is not a degree

It is a shorter, focused program for people who need a particular skill set now, and want it written down and issued by a university.

  • FocusedOne field, one set of skills, built around the work you already do.
  • Online and assessedStudied on the same learning platform as our degrees, with assessments that check what you can do.
  • Issued by the UniversityEvery certificate carries a number and a code, and can be checked on our verification page.
  • Linked to a degree programEach certificate names the degree program it relates to, so you can see where the field leads. Counting a certificate toward a degree is not promised, and is decided only in writing.

Nineteen certificates are planned across five fields. All are in preparation and none is open for enrolment yet.

Good to know

What a certificate does and does not do

  • Not a degree

A Professional Certificate is not a bachelor's, master's or doctorate, and it does not carry credit hours unless the University states so in writing for that certificate.

  • Not a licence

It does not license anyone to practise a regulated profession. Licences are granted by the authority in each country. The health certificates here are for administration, quality and safety, and include no clinical training.

  • Our name only

These certificates are written and issued by Berkshire University. We do not present the certificates of other organizations as ours.

  • Recognition

Whether an employer or authority accepts a certificate is their decision. Ask them before you enrol if you need it for a particular purpose, and ask us for the course outline to show them.

  • Dates and fees

No certificate is open yet. Fees and dates are published for each certificate when it opens, and not before.

  • Questions

Tell us your field and your role through the contact page, and we will tell you which certificate, or which degree, fits.
